Details: FakeTV is a burglar deterrent that recreates the light of a real HDTV television. So from outside, it looks just like someone is home watching TV. Most burglars do not target occupied houses. Why risk prison? So when a prowler sees that flickering glow that means someone is home watching TV, he knows to move on to an easier target. So, FakeTV makes a break-in less likely. Our model FTV-11 is three times brighter than our model FTV-10 and FTV-7 FakeTV's built-in computer controls 12 super-bright LEDs that fill a room with light. It accurately simulates scene changes, fades, and on-screen motion, in thousand of possible shades of color, just like real TV. A built-in light sensor turns FakeTV on at dusk, and it can be set to turn off after four or seven hours. The dynamic light from FakeTV conveys the impression of "alive" in a way that a light on a timer cannot. Consumes just the power of a night light. AC Adapter included.

Easy to Use

Using FakeTV couldn't be simpler-- plug in the device and set the switch to Dusk + 4 or 7 hours. The FakeTV will turn on at night, every night! No WiFi to setup, no clock to set, no app to download, and no software updates.

Alternatively, the FakeTV can be used with a simple lamp timer and set to times you want it to be on. Simply, plug the FakeTV into the lamp timer, set the lamp timer, and set the FakeTV switch to ON.

FakeTV is an excellent DIY security solution. There is nothing to install-- no drilling or wiring needed. It works great in conjunction with a whole home security system. Whole home security systems are great, we use them ourselves, but they don't prevent the smash and grab type break-ins where the burglar is in and out before the police are even notified.
